BKL Hot Chocolate and Cookie Day!

Everyone should bring some cookies and snacks! We also need many people to bring jugs of water so we can make hot cocoa (water at Range is not potable). Bring your snacks and water to the kitchen window. If another parent can help Gretchen Lorenzini make the hot cocoa and organize the snacks, she would appreciate it!

BKL Goes to MetroRocks!

With the rain and warm temps forecasted for Tuesday, BKL decided to scrap practice at the Range and went climbing at Metrorocks instead. We had a great turn-out and a great time! Turns out that a lot of our kids really enjoy the challenge of climbing! The Tic Tac Toe wall as a favorite as were the self-belays and the slack line.

Sylvie on the slackfline.

Greta, Virginia and Asher on the Tic Tac Toe wall.

Taylor and Carl on the self-belays.

Carly and Bella practice balance on the slack line.

Brock hanging off the wall! Brock and his brother Weston come her all the time and are quite accomplished climbers.

BKL Mini-Marathon Results!

Kids line up and listen to instructions from Coach Rosemary at the start.

BKL Practice today was the annual Mini-marathon! How many loops/k’s can you ski in an hour? Well, our kids skied anywhere from 4 km to 13k total!  Everyone brought snacks and a few parents helped kids record their laps and monitored the snack table.  Thank you parents and thanks to Katie Coons for taking the photos!

Alice Norris helps kids record their laps at the snack table.
