- The first semester encompasses Fall Training and Thanksgiving Camp
- The second semester encompasses Winter Training and Eastern Cup Support
Mansfield Nordic Club is excited to offer student-athletes a program that balances and enhances their school curriculum with high-level training and racing opportunities. MNC Academy represents the club’s commitment to racer development and skiing support, paired with an athlete’s increased commitment to the club and to the sport itself.
Skiers participating in MNC Academy programming take academic course(s) over the summer or fall, with scheduled weekly study-hall periods and advising from MNC and their guidance counselors.
During the traditional academic year, student-athletes continue to attend their public high schools, and with flexible schedules are able to participate in additional training sessions (such as mornings during the fall season).
Courses taken online or via VT Dual Enrollment during the traditional academic year can also be considered and discussed with coaches and school guidance counselors.
MNC Academy’s balance of academics and athletics is centered around providing skiers:
- Opportunities and support for academic coursework in both the summer as well as the traditional school year, helping skiers develop the time management and independent skills needed to succeed in high school and college.
- Access to more training sessions in the fall and winter, including early on-snow time and greater freedom for incorporating rest and recovery, with the aim of helping skiers strive for their highest goals.
- A structure to accomplish a professional level of training, and a comprehensive academic experience, without leaving their home community or public school system.

What MNC Academy athletes receive from Mansfield Nordic:
- A discounted, comprehensive tuition fee for Fall and Winter programming that includes all of the following:
- Fall 5+day/week programming
- Thanksgiving Training Camp
- Winter 5+day/week programming
- Full Eastern Cup and local race support
- An optimized weekly schedule of training, including access and support for morning and afternoon sessions year-round and travel (if conditions permit) for early on-snow access during the late fall season.
- Reserved Study Hall periods in summer and fall at locations around Chittenden County to facilitate academic success and strong work ethic.
Cost, start dates, and scheduling
MNC Academy Fall Semester 2023 tuition: $1299
MNC Academy programming will begin September 5th, 2023 alongside the start of the Fall training program. Find MNC Academy registration alongside other program options.
There are NO athletic or competitive pre-requisites to the MNC Academy program!
