MNC fund raising effort to purchase generator

The club is seeking donations to help purchase a portable generator that can be used at the wax tent for BK, Junior and Masters events.  The Honda generator is capable of running wax irons allowing us to help athletes with both glide and kick waxing at important events.  Parent volunteer Don Harmeyer checked out the options and selected the Honda EU200i.  He has also contacted a local business that will match the best price available (approx. $1000.00)  If you would like to donate please send a check to MNC C/O Rick Costanza 24 White Pine Rd, Fairfax, VT 05454.  Thanks!

Masters 12/10-12/16

Masters this week.  Dryland training at the range (unless we get enough snow to ski).  The snowmaking crew already has some piles of snow and will be continuing their efforts to get a trail open as soon as possible.

For the weekend there is a Masters division at the Eastern Cup on Sunday at Craftsbury.  This will be a 15 km mass start skate race. You must register online. Info is posted at http://craftsbury.com/skiing/events.htm

If you have ordered an MNC race suit – Rick will have them on T – TH night at the range.

 

BKL This Week

BKL Racing and Jackrabbits – we will be at the range T-TH this week for ski practice.  Just in case the man-made snow piles are big enough: Bring skate skis and running shoes and a plastic sled if you have one – for the MNC Chariot Races.   PLEASE – no more shorts and T-shirts.  Hypothermia and frostbite are no fun.

Sunday – There is a BKL race at Craftsbury.  Coaches will be there to help. Race information is posted at: http://craftsbury.com/skiing/events.htm

Here are a few pics from Saturdays BKL at Craftsbury.  The kids did a 2 km time trial and worked on their tele turns later in the day.

 

Juniors: Training 12/10 – 12/16

We’ll be back at the Range this week. Let’s be prepared for anything on Tuesday/Thursday — skiing, rollerskiing, or running/bounding. Hopefully they have enough man-made snow to get ski. Weekend training will be racing at the Eastern Cups in Craftsbury! Don’t forget to register. Information and registration here.

*** If you are a part of the Devo Team and you’d like to race, please inform me of which race(s) by Wednesday 12/12 at 7pm.

  • Tuesday @ the Range, 4:00 – 5:45pm. Skate ski or skate roll or bound (be prepared for all). Short intervals and speeds.
  • Thursday @ the Range, 4:00 – 5:30pm. Classic ski or classic roll or bound. Speed work.
  • Sunday = race!
