The MNC Junior team will head over to Lake Placid January 5th-7th for a weekend of training to kick off 2018 and prepare for the heart of the Eastern Cup season. The goal of this camp is some team time to reunite and re-focus after the holidays, in order to get ready for a fast race season in January, February, and March.
We’ll depart on Friday afternoon, after school on January 5th. Upon arrival at our cabin in Wilmington (just down the road from downtown Lake Placid, at the base of Whiteface) we’ll go for a headlamp-powered backwoods ski and settle in for the weekend. We’ll then compete in a Mid-A JNQ race and get in a long ski at Mt Van Hoevenburg.
Cost includes travel, lodging, meals, and trail passes at Mt Van Hoevenberg. Racers must register separately for the HURT Nordic JNQ race on Saturday, Jan 6th (click for link)
- Night ski at Wilmington Flume trails
- Meals cooked family-style at the house
- Mid-A JNQ classic race Saturday morning
