About 36 racers from Lollipop to Grade 8 hit the Picnic Loop at Sunset on March 6 for the first MNC BKL Sweetheart Sprints. This race, originally scheduled closer to Valentine’s Day, was rescheduled due to extremely cold temperatures. Today was a much nicer day, in fact, it was perfect! The temps started out at about 29 F and began to cool slightly as the race began. The sunset from Picnic Loop was lovely and if you turned 180 degrees, you could also see tonight’s full moon rising over Bolton Mountain. What a lovely evening for a race!
