We are happy to report that Tomasi Meadow has received several inches of new snow over the last few days and Coach Peter has been grooming the trails. We’ll be skiing there this week. This is also the week of our home ski race – the Mansfield Nordic Skiathlon at Sleepy Hollow. See below for race information and check back later in the week for final BKL Team info for the race. *Due to the cold weather forecast for this weekend we have decided to postpone the Skiathlon to Sunday, February 22.*
Tuesday 1/20: Penguins, JackRabbits, Arctic Foxes and Racers
Location and Time : Tomasi Meadow, Jericho from 3:45-5:15
Details: Skate skiing for Jack Rabbits, Arctic Foxes and Racers. Penguins are classic skiing. It looks chilly on Tuesday, so eat a big snack, use hand warmers and dress in extra layers. Devos are practicing with the juniors – please check the junior schedule for details.
Thursday 1/22: JackRabbits, Arctic Foxes and Racers and Devos

Details: Skiathlon Practice – Classic Skiing for all. Anyone racing the skiathlon should bring both classic and skate gear. We will have a couple ski bags at our group meeting spots to help wrangle gear and carry it down to where we plan to practice.
Sunday 1/25: *Race Postponed to February 22** Mansfield Nordic Skiathlon
Location and Time : Sleepy Hollow, Huntington, Vt – Kids races start at 11:45am
