BK Update 12/12/13

BK Practice will be on foot – not skis – on Thursday.  Our best information on the trail condition: yes there is snow but not enough to keep from going through and causing damage to the ski bases.  It will be quite cold tomorrow so please make sure the kids all have adequate cold weather clothing.  We will do a mix of outdoor and indoor activities.

If any parents have time during ski practice and would like to help out we need to move some firewood into the Walker Building……Thanks.

Masters Update 12/12/13

The 6 PM Masters will ski the Notch Road instead of dry-land at the range.  Our report is that the skiing is good except for a wind blown section near the top.  We will meet on the Jeffersonville side at 6 pm.  We plan on skating but if you want to classic that’s ok too.  Let’s just enjoy some time on skis.

The 3:30 group will still be on foot at the range with Coach Christa.

 

BK and Masters 12/10 – 12/15

Tuesday 12/10: Dry-land training at the range with BK Racing Team rotating inside for  a skills session: applying kick wax.  Parents are welcome to learn too.

Thursday12/12:  Dry-land training at the range unless we pick up enough snow to ski.  Check here for updates.

Saturday 12/14 : BONUS – J2 and U14 kids – race up at Central VT Nordic Coop Skate race @ Breadloaf (Ripton, VT). Details on NENSA website. $10 cost for trail fee.  https://www.nensa.net/news/index.php?id=6375

MASTERS

Tuesday12/10 and Thursday 12/12 – Dry- land training at the range.  Please check for updates incase we have enough snow to ski somewhere.

Junior Training 12/9 – 12/22

This coming week:

Tuesday = 4-6pm at the Range. Ski/hike/strength?
Thursday = 4-6pm at the Range. Ski/hike/strength?
Saturday = bonus Central VT Nordic Coop Skate race @ Breadloaf (Ripton, VT). Details on NENSA website. $10 cost for trail fee; no fee for the race!
Sunday = tentatively ski at Craftsbury.

The following week:

Tuesday = 4-6pm at the Range. Ski w/ moderate intensity.
Thursday = 4-6pm at the Range. Ski w/ technique and agility.
Saturday = Craftsbury Eastern Cup. Skate sprint. RSVP to Tim if you plan to attend.
Sunday = Craftsbury Eastern Cup. 5/10/15km classic mass. 

Juniors: Sunday @ Craftsbury

We will do a skate ski at Craftsbury tomorrow (Sunday), approx 10:00-12:00.

CARPOOL:

If you have space in your vehicle for an additional athlete(s), or if you need a ride, please let me know and we can arrange a carpool: meet at the Richmond Park n Ride by 8:20 for an 8:30 departure, and arrival at Craftsbury ~ 9:50am.
