DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, November 30th for a ski day in Craftsbury! \nThanksgiving Camp for the Juniors will have just finished-up\, so the team trailer will be on-site for skiers to have some kickwaxing assistance for classic (skating is welcome too!). \nCoaches Clinic \nCoaches of all programs (BKL\, Juniors\, Masters) are encouraged to meet at the trailer at 2pm to meet with Coach Adam and Coach Liz to spend some time reviewing drills\, activities\, goals\, and more! \nMasters Ski \nMasters are encouraged to meet in the lower field at 2pm for a group ski! A bench will be set up for some kickwax help if classic skiing\, and skate skiing is of course welcome too! \nOne way or another\, it’s likely we’ll all end up spending some time getting to meet and ski with fellow club members! Don’t forget either a Craftsbury day pass\, or make sure to purchase your season pass for 25/26.

SUMMARY:Junior Thanksgiving Camp 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join MNC for a week of on-snow skiing at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center from November 25 – 30th. \nKick off winter with team time\, technique work\, group intensity sessions\, and what is often the first groomed skiing of the new season. \n \n  \nBeginning Tuesday\, November 25th our group meets up at Craftsbury where snow has been stored since last winter. \nThe groomers and crew at the center put in an amazing effort to truck all that snow out for us to ski on during the week. We often share the loop with EISA college teams like Williams\, UNH\, UVM\, and Harvard\, as well as fellow NENSA clubs like EMXC. We train for 6 days/5 nights\, equal to a full typical training week (Tues – Sun). \nWe do a lot of skiing\, but also make space for strength sessions in the indoor gym\, movies and presentations in the big basement room in Cedar Lodge\, team activities and games\, and usually wake up early to watch the first World Cup of the season live from Finland! \nCamp cost is $749 and includes: \n\nCoaching compensation and overhead\nLodging for 6 days/5 nights at Craftsbury Outdoor Center\nAll daily meals at the Craftsbury dining hall\nGroup Thanksgiving Dinner put on by Craftsbury \nTrail passes for the week of skiing\nIndoor gym access for strength sessions\nEntry in end-of-week timetrial\nWax and tools for training sessions\n2025 version of camp interval t-shirt\nCamp training gear from Toko\n\nRegistration is available at the link below. SUMMARY:Climb to the Castle Weekend Trip (Juniors)
DESCRIPTION:Rollerski racing is a great time\, and one of the bigger (and more famous) weekends of rollerski events is happening in Lake Placid once again. \nThe Keys/Climb to the Castle races involve a skate sprint on the rollerski track in Lake Placid on Saturday\, September 20th\, followed by a hillclimb race up the Whiteface Memorial Toll Road on Sunday\, September 21st. \nFor the MNC Juniors\, this also means a race trip weekend! We have lodging in Keene\, NY just down the road from the races\, and are looking forward to a weekend on the road…we’ll depart on Friday afternoon and catch the sunset in the Adirondacks\, wake up and take a quick trip up the hill to the skate sprint\, and compete in the first day’s events. \nThen we’ll be able to spend some time in town\, check out some local spots\, get an afternoon recovery session in\, and cook dinner before resting-up for the next day. \nOn Sunday we’re only a short drive away from the start of race #2! Note that it’s also feasible to do a hike up Whiteface from one of the main trailheads if you’d prefer that to a rollerski race. We will all meet at the summit together! \nThe MNC team trip includes travel\, meals\, and lodging (note we’re seeking some additional drivers and/or may do some carpooling) and you can sign up below. The team trip does not include registration for the events themselves\, which is handled through SkiReg. \nTeam Trip: Climb to the Castle Weekend \nKeys to the Castle (Saturday Sprint) Reg \nClimb to the Castle (Hillclimb) Reg \nKeys to the Castle sprint race!

DESCRIPTION:Come rollerski in the 4th of July Parade in Williston! \nANYONE CAN JOIN! The Pro Team will be participating\, and we’ve had everyone from BKL to Juniors to Masters participate in this event. If you can ski 2mph on a flat road\, this is the event for you 🙂 \nWe meet a little early to decorate an MNC vehicle with car paint\, balloons\, flags\, and more\, and we have SNOW (from the UVM hockey rink) that we toss to the crowd. It’s a great time and a great opportunity to be visible in a community we often rollerski\, run\, and bike in. \nAfter the parade\, we’ve been known to grab ice cream\, too! \n \n

SUMMARY:Green Up Day with MNC!
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Mansfield Nordic Community Center on Saturday\, May 3rd for Green Up Day! \nIf the weather is nice\, please consider carpooling\, riding your bike\, or parking at the gravel lot at the end of Cochran Rd and walking over to the space…there is room for 2-3 cars in front of the building\, and 3-4 cars directly across the street in the grass lot. \nMeet at the MNCC at 8:30 and be sure to wear a hi-viz short or vest (MNC attire preferred!) and some gloves. We will have trash bags and some scoopers/grabbers to help us clean up Cochran Rd and Duxbury Rd…two locations we train at and utilize often. \nBack at the MNCC we will have some snacks (donuts\, coffee\, bagels). \nThis is an event for all ages! Come out and help show how our club can support and benefit our community and landscapes that we spend so much of our time training in.

DESCRIPTION:Event is FULL. See you there! \nJoin us at Sleepy Hollow to celebrate the ski season with our Annual End of Season Party and Ski. This is a great chance for family and friends to get together. \nWe will have barbecue items\, salad\, drinks\, and deserts to enjoy. If skiing is still available\, we hope attendees will enjoy getting out on the snow beforehand! Skiing is included. \nSchedule: \n3:30pm – Ski  (Skiing is included in our Round Barn rental.  There’s no need to purchase a pass.) \n3:45pm – Group Run with MNC Masters.  Meet in the lodge for an out and back dirt road run. Aprox 4.5 miles\, but it’s possible to turn around at any point. \n5:30pm – Dinner at the Round Barn \n*The deadline for purchasing your ticket is Thursday\, March 20 11:59pm \n
