SUMMARY:Lake Placid Loppet
DESCRIPTION:Lake Placid Loppet\nThe Lake Placid Loppet is one of the best events of its kind in the country. Over the past 30 years\, thousands of skiers have enjoyed skiing and racing on the challenging Mt. Van Hoevenberg trails at the Olympic Sports Complex. The Lake Placid Loppet is conducted by the Olympic Regional Development Authority on the Olympic Sports Complex Cross Country Ski Trails. The Loppet and Kort-Loppet run on a slightly modified version of the 50km course constructed for the 1980 Winter Olympics\, making it one of the most challenging citizen races in the world. This is a perfect race for recreational to expert skiers who are looking for a unique and challenging race. The Lake Placid Loppet is also proud to be a qualifier for the American Birkebeiner and a member of the NENSA Marathon Series. Included with your Loppet entry fee is the Celebration BBQ & Awards on Saturday evening following the races at Mt. Van Hoevenberg. Everyone who crosses the finish line will receive a finisher gift pint glass with one free beer or soda. There will also be complimentary post-race food. \nRace Details\nRace start and finish is in the Cross Country Stadium. Warming areas\, wax rooms\, restrooms and post-race refreshments will be available in the Cross Country Lodge. Nordic ski patrol will be on the course at all feeding stations and additional locations. Please report injured skiers at the next feed station or to the first race official encountered. There is a complete first aid room at the Cross Country Lodge. Feeding stations are located every 5km\, providing beverages and high energy foods. We look forward to seeing you at this wonderful and historic race!

SUMMARY:MNC New England Club Relay Championship
DESCRIPTION:New England Club Relay Championship 4 x 5 km\n*NENSA Club Cup Series Event*\n\nThe third annual New England Club Relay Championship will wrap up the 2019 Club Cup scoring. \nThe NE Club Relay Championship\, hosted by Mansfield Nordic Club\, attracts skiers of all ages and abilities and is perfect way to involve all club members in a fun and exciting event. The race format will be four legs of 5km (2 CL and then 2 FS). Each 4 person team will be in one of two age group categories. (Under 200 years of combined age or 200 years and over) Teams must be all male\, all female\, or mixed with at least two women. There are no gender or age limits on BKL teams. Each official team must be from the same NENSA Club/team. Unofficial teams (unofficial: not from the same club/team) may enter as well\, but will not score for the official club championship award. This event will be scored for the 2018/19 NENSA Club points. Team awards will be presented to the top Male Team\, Female Team\, and Mixed Team for the two age groups. We will also have a BKL award for top team with no designation for male\, female\, or mixed teams. Clubs may enter as many teams as possible and club points will be scored using the sum of world cup points scored by each team for each club. For example: First place team in each category receives 100 pts down to 30th place team and beyond will receive one point. \nRegistration:\nRegistration will be at: https://www.SkiReg.com/new-england-club-relay-championship \n$100 per team online or $125 per team on race day. BKL skiers can register for $60 per team online or $75 per team day of race. Online registration closes on Friday\, March 8 at 11:59pm. Washington Auto Road. Long referred to as “North America’s Toughest 10K”\, the Ski\, Shoe & Fatbike to the Clouds course has an average grade of 12% over the last 6K as you climb the final 2\,200 vertical feet. While there will be competitors who are seeking to make or break a record\, for others it is the ultimate way to personally test themselves in one of nature’s most spectacular environments.After covering 4k on the Nordic system\, racers will have the Mt. Washington Auto Road to themselves as remarkable views of the Presidential Range and beyond reveal themselves. DESCRIPTION:Take a “Glide on the Wild Side” and come to Rikert Touring Center in Ripton\, VT for the NE BKL Fest: a kids’s ski festival!\n\nThis event is so much fun and this year\, it’s not too far away! MNC always has a good crowd of kids at every Festival and they have so much fun racing and playing on skis together!  There are races each day (first day relay\, second day individual) and a whole lot more- face painting\, animal trail in the woods\, a family mini-marathon\, a terrain park\, 8th grade graduation\, and an opening parade. Any skier without their bib\, who wears it incorrectly or with the wrong bib (e.g. wearing the Sunday bib on Saturday)\, will be automatically disqualified given that it will then be impossible to accurately track them on the course.  The color of the bin corresponds to the sign colours on the course. Skiers must keep their bib and show it to the volunteers at the “Sac des skieurs” area\, to recover their clothes and get their Post-Race Meal. \nFEEDING STATIONS: In addition to the one at the finish line\, there will be six feeding stations along the course on Saturday and Sunday.  Each of them will provide an assortment of food and beverages. \nBROKEN POLES: A limited number of poles will be provided at certain feeding stations (Start\, Lac Philippe\, Herridge\, Notch and Keogan) for skiers who break theirs. \nTIME LIMIT FOR THE 51 KM RACES: For reasons of health and safety\, on Saturday\, the skieurs of the 51km event who have not crossed the 30km mark (O’Brien/P11) before 1 p.m. (approximately 7.5km/hour) and on Sunday in the 51km event who have not crossed the 30km mark (O’Brien/P11) before 12:30 p.m. (approximately 8.5km/hour)\, will not be allowed to continue to race. \nPOST-RACE MEAL: To get your post-race meal\, show your bib in the cafeteria. A meal is provided to skieurs of the 5km\, 10km\, 15km\, 27km and 51 km. Racers with Lycra bib will receive a food coupon. The meal is served between 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday\, and between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday. It is also available to non-participants for $7 (cash only). \nSWIX WAX CLINICS: Swix will give waxing clinics on the big stage\, Friday\, February 15th at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Saturday\, February 16th at 3:30 p.m. \nRECOGNITION PROGRAM: Skiers who have taken part in 5\, 10\, 15\, 20\, 25 and 30 races will receive a pin indicating the number of times they took part in the events.  Starting on the Friday evening\, the pins will be available at the Ski Show\, at the medals table.  Skiers must be registered for at least one race in 2018 in order to get a pin. \nELITE PROGRAM: In order to attract elite skiers\, a limited number of hotel rooms have been reserved for Friday and Saturday evening for men and women  Elite skiers taking part to the 51km free technique\, which have a real chance of podium. SUMMARY:White Mountain Classic 30K  (NENSA One-Day Club Championship)
DESCRIPTION:The White Mountain Classic 30K is part of the New England Marathon Series\, the NENSA Zak Cup & Club Series\, and the prestigious NENSA 1-Day Club Championships! This is a classic technique marathon utilizing the unique trail systems in and around Jackson Village. The course includes Jackson’s FIS Homologated Course\, Wentworth Golf Course\, and Eagle Mtn. Fields. Entry includes food stations\, post-race meal\, awards and random prizes to both racers and tourers. All proceeds will benefit the Mt. Washington Valley Junior Nordic Program. \nIT’S ALL FOR THE KIDS! \nTouring Classes are untimed. All skiers 13 and under must tour with an adult. \nBIB PICKUP: Race HQ\, Jackson Ski Touring Foundation (JSTF)\, Jackson Village:\n– Friday 1/20 – 5:00-7:00 PM\n– Saturday 1/21 – 7:00-9:00 AM \nPARKING ON RACE DAY: Parking is available at Jackson Ski Touring Center. Sign up early for this extra bonus!   \nThese socks are fantastic -Your feet will thank you! \nRacers: $50 If received by 11:00 pm on 1/05/17 \n$65 1/6/17 – 1/20/17 at 12:00 pm \n$100 Day of Race Registration until 9:00am.\nTourers: $40 If received by 11:oo pm on 1/05/16 \n$65 1/06/17 – 1/20/17 at 12:00 pm \n$100 Day of Race Registration until 9:00am.\nKids 13 and under and touring with a participating adult: $20 if received by 1/20/17. \nOn line Registration is officially closed for everyone at noon the day before the event\, or earlier if the 400-person limit is reached. \nIf you are affiliated with a ski club\, please be sure to enter it in the “Team/Club/Company” field when registering.  This will be used to calculate results for the NENSA One-Day Club Championship. \nThere will be no refunds if the event is postponed or cancelled. Since the race motto is “IT’S ALL FOR THE KIDS!\,” we are pleased to offer a reduced fee of $20 per student for organized high school ski teams participating in the 30K Tour (not race). SUMMARY:Geschmossel Classic 15K at Bretton Woods
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, January 21\, 2019\nJoin us for the 46th Annual Geschmossel Race\, which is part of the ZAK Cup Series. Originally staged during the winter of 1972-73\, the Geschmossel is one of New England’s oldest citizens’ races. The race originated as a 6-kilometer fun race\, and was groomed with a homemade track sled that was pulled by a rope from a grooming machine. Today this 15 km classic Nordic race takes place on the Ammonoosuc trail network at the Bretton Woods Nordic Center and attracts high-level Nordic skiers from around the country\, including members of the United States Ski Team. \n Please call the Bretton Woods Nordic Center at 603-278-3322 for more information.
