SUMMARY:U16 Mountain Camp
DESCRIPTION:Our U16 Mountain Camp (formerly known as “Mini Mountain Camp”) will be held from July 25 – 28 in Lake Placid\, NY! \nThis camp is intended for U16 (and rising-U16) skiers. Experienced U14 skiers are able to attend with coach permission. \nRollerskiing at U16 Mountain Camp in 2023 \nOften the first training camp experience for skiers of this age\, U16 Mountain Camp is focused on exploring new places and building connections with friends and teammates. \nSkate rollerski experience is necessary\, primarily from a safety perspective. The final makeup and experience of our camp group will determine how much rollerskiing factors into our schedule\, but at least some time will be devoted to the activity. We’ll also enjoy trail running\, hiking\, ski bounding\, and maybe even mountain biking if there’s an interest. \nU16 Mountain Camp has space for up to 10 athletes\, and is led by Coach Adam and Coach Kristen! You can register for the camp at the MNC Registration Page or by clicking the button below! \nThis camp runs Thurs-Sun (a day longer than years past)\, and is $349 with an option for a non-refundable deposit of $50\, with remainder due June 1. \nU16 Mountain Camp 2024 \nBlog post/recap from 2023 Camp \nPhoto Album: 2023 Camp \nSki bounding at Bromley\, 2023 camp \nOur camp in 2023 was held in Ludlow\, hit hard by flooding\, so we met with the town organizers to do some volunteer cleanup/strength training \n

SUMMARY:Skirack/Swenor Rollerski Orders Due
DESCRIPTION:MNC members and skiers\, \nSkirack has put together some special pricing for us with rollerskis! You can order Swenor skis from Skirack at the link below\, with submissions due May 13th. \nNote the inclusion of some #2/#3 speed wheel options on the Fiberglass Classic model…if you have been rollerskiing for a few years now (say\, if this is going to be your second pair of classic rollerskis) this slightly-slower wheelspeed is recommended as it is much more relatable to actual classic skiing. Double poling is more realistic\, and striding work is more effective. \nThe Fiberglass model also comes in a standard #2 front and back speed\, and all other models are #2 speed. \nOn the order form\, you can check out specific notes on models and descriptions which I put together. You can also view those descriptions directly by clicking here. \nClick the link below to submit your form for ski ordering through Skirack! Orders are due May 13th. \nSkirack Swenor Order Form

SUMMARY:MNC Summer Apparel Order Closes
DESCRIPTION:MNC compression shorts now available for 2024! \nPodiumwear Summer Storefront \nMNC general summer apparel store also online! \nMNC General Shop\nORDER BY MAY 7TH!\nOur Podiumwear compression shorts are one our most popular items ever. Ideal for rollerskiing\, great for running\, and useful in all sorts of other athletic situations\, these shorts became a hit as more and more members started rocking them at training. \nThey typically run small so please note this in your order. For a reference point\, Coach Adam wears a Men’s Large. \nIt’s common for athletes to ask about these in the summer\, and wonder “where can I get them??” but please be advised: this is a Podiumwear Storefront order\, meaning the only pairs produced are those that are ordered through this storefront! \nThe storefront is set to close on May 7th in order for shorts to arrive by mid-June for the beginning of summer training. You can also order a high-quality MNC hoody from Podiumwear at this storefront! \n \n \n

DESCRIPTION:Event Update: We’re setting up the party with food and waxing on the lower deck at Cochran’s. Dress warm\, bring rock skis or a sled for some fun on the ski hill. \nCraftsbury has closed-up for the season\, meaning our traditional end-of-season party needed to be called off. Lawn games outside if the weather is nice! \nNo fee for this event\, but we’ll have a donation box if you’d like to consider a contribution! Hope to see you there- \n-MNC Coaching Staff
