SUMMARY:Summer Kickoff Ride/Hike
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this annual tradition hosted by the Solow/Henry family! We will gather for either a hike up Camel’s Hump or a road bike ride (2 route options) followed by a potluck. \nRide begins at Hinesburg Central School at 9:15AM \nHike meets (to carpool) at Brewster Pierce Elementary School in Huntington at 8:30AM \nWe will gather for a potluck lunch at the Henry/Solow household between 11:30 and noon! \nMNC cycling crew about to tackle App Gap and more \nDetailed schedule: \nACTIVITIES: \no   Bike ride – 9:15 am\, meet at Hinesburg Community School. There will be 2 bike routes: one up App Gap (~40 miles) and one ‘Around the Block’ (~15 miles). \no   Hike – 8:30 am\, meet at Brewster Pierce School in Huntington to car pool to Camel’s Hump. \no   Potluck picnic – 12 noon\, gather back at Henry/Solow house (209 Coyote Ridge Rd\, Hinesburg) for a potluck picnic lunch. See below for suggested items. \no   Pond for swimming  – bring your suit (or not) if you want . \no   Frisbee horseshoes – bring an old ski pole \no   Send off for our graduating seniors (Eliza\, Ben\, Will and Alex) \no   Bring a lawn chair or blanket for hanging out and catching up! \n  \nPOTLUCK items needed (the athletes come back really hungry!): \no   Vegetable side dishes \no   Green salad \no   Tabouli salad \no   Hummus (large bowl) \no   Guacamole (large bowl) \no   Appetizers (bean dip\, cheese/crackers\, chips\, salsa\, your favorite dip) \no   Drinks – Seltzer\, ice tea \no   Your favorite summer dish….or whatever else you think of \n  \nWe will have on hand: \nPaper goods (plates\, napkins\, forks\, knives\, spoons\, cups) \nSandwich meats\, condiments\, lettuce\, tomato\, pickles \nBread/wraps \nWater \nQuestions: call Sharon (802) 598-7072; sharonhenry5149@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Masters Hike\, Run\, Swim and Pot Luck Event on the Slopes Mt. Mansfield!
DESCRIPTION:Jim Fredericks and JoAnn Hanowski are hosting a Potluck outing at their home in Underhill\, VT.  This event is open to all MNC master skiers\, adult club members\, parents of Junior and BKL skiers and friends.  Participants have the option of a hike or guided trail run on some of the many trails on nearby Mt Mansfield followed by a relaxing wood fired sauna\, swim in the pond and/or pot luck meal. There will also be a badminton net set up and croquet for extra fun. Please join us for any part of the event that you can! \nWhat: MNC Masters Outing with hike or guided trail run from Fredericks/Hanowski residence in Underhill followed by sauna\, swimming and potluck meal. \nWhen: Sunday\, June 25 \nTime: Short hike or guided trail run leaves the residence at 2:00pm\, sauna and swim starting at approximately 3:30pm followed by Potluck Meal at 4:00pm \nWhere: 70 Maple Leaf Road\, in Underhill\, VT \nRSVP by June 23 to \nJim Fredericks at jimfredericks2@gmail.com or \nJen Supple at jssupple@gmail.com \n  \nNote: The trail run will be about 50-70 minutes depending on individual pace. Hike options include the trail running route which leaves Jim and JoAnn’s house on a mountain bike trail to a wonderful lookout of the Champlain Valley\, an up and back from Stevensville trailhead to Taylor Lodge\, or longer summit bid. Anyone interested in a longer\, more extensive hike on Mt. Mansfield should let us know in your RSVP and we can help organize an earlier start time to accommodate. \n  \n  \n
