DESCRIPTION:Ladies\, are you looking for a supportive environment to try out nordic skiing? Or\, possibly\, looking for advice to help you master traditional classic or skate technique? If so\, please mark your calendars and join us for the Annual Ladies Nordic Ski Expo on Saturday\, January 10th\, 2015 at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe\, Vermont. This is an amazingly fun and social event taught by women for women. The Ladies Nordic Ski Expo is unique in that it offers an opportunity to receive instruction in the traditional skinny-ski track disciplines of both classic and skate skiing as well as backcountry and telemark techniques. Participants are able to pick and choose the type or types of instruction they want to receive during this day long event. Instructors for the event are the best of the best and include some of the world’s top master skiers. We promise you will receive lots of attention as we strive to keep the student to instructor ratio low in order to maximize learning opportunities. The Trapp Family Lodge\, with its great access to backcountry and telemark terrain\, and exceptional facilities and views is the perfect classroom. Also\, they have snow-making so we can pretty much guarantee that the conditions will be perfect!

DESCRIPTION:A fun family tour (not a race) geared to BKL skiers and their families. Food stops that fuel your adventure further than you thought you could go. Chili feed at end. \nChoose your distance: 22K\, 15K\, and 5K for Lollypoppers. Timed tour with alphabetical results. Terrain is best suited to classical skiing. Please sign up for distance that you can complete in a maximum of 3.5 hours. \nIt is not required that every child have a chaperone but please use discretion based on your child’s age and ability. Also\, those touring without a chaperone are strongly encouraged to ski in a group. Anyone wishing to accompany their child will need to either register for the event or purchase a day trail pass (or have a season’s pass to Stowe Mt. DESCRIPTION:Mansfield Nordic is pleased to offer a special classic technique & racing clinic with classical specialist and guest coach\, Peter Davis.   If you have seen Pete cruising around the Range trails on our training nights\, you know his stride is smooth as silk!  This clinic is for skiers who are experienced racers and want to ratchet up their technique at race pace…  just in time for the Craftsbury Marathon! \nPete was on the U.S\, Ski Team 1968-74\, and was in the 1970 World Championships in Czechoslovakia.  One of his top races was 210th of 12\,000 in the famous Vassalopet in Sweden\, 1970. \n  \nTo maximize our time with Pete\, please be waxed up and skis on at 6:00 sharp.

DESCRIPTION:Mansfield Nordic is pleased to offer race support to all members at our premier event of the season!   Classic Wax Meister Peter Davis\, and Murray Banks\, will be trailside beginning at 7:00AM to provide pre-race waxing assistance\, mid race wax resupply and fueling feeds. \nPete & Murray will send a general wax prep note Thursday evening and a final waxing update Friday @ 2:00PM\, so you can have your skis base prepped and ready.  On race morning\, they will help you fine tune your kick wax right up until race time & be trailside with extra wax for mid race touch up if needed\, and provide refueling assistance. \nFriday  1/30/15      wax testing on race course \nSaturday\, 1/31/15     7:30-8:55 wax assistance at the MNC tent.    9:00 race start \nTo register for the Marathon click here.
